Rewarding Experience
Your job - for some it is not just about the paycheck, 9 to 5, Monday through Friday, etc. It goes deeper than that. For some getting up every morning and going to their job is the last thing they want to do, for others it is routine, for even others - a desire to make a difference.
For Rock L. Butler Middle Schools' physical education teacher, Darla Zimmerman - it was the rewarding experience of watching not only her own children go through the school system but working with all the other students and having such an impact on their lives individually. The bond you share, the smiles on their faces and reaching out to someone new every year.
After a long, rewarding and dedication of 36 years, Zimmerman has announced her retirement from teaching and coaching from the Wellsboro School District.
Zimmerman, a graduate of Jersey Shore High School and Lock Haven State College in May 1972, also received her master's degree in August of 1976 from Elmira College and continued her graduate work at both Penn State University and Wilkes University.
