On Saturday, Sept. 14, at 3:30 p.m., come to Ole Bull State Park at Cross Fork for the program “Katydid Cadence” and learn about these insects and why they sing at night. Meet at Pavilion #4 (Stone Pavilion).
On Saturday, Sept. 14, at 8 p.m., join the park naturalist at Ole Bull State Park for some “Bannock Baking” and learn the history of the bannock (bread over the fire), and how to cook one. Meet at Pavilion #4 (Stone Pavilion).
On Sunday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m., at Ole Bull State Park, there will be a program on the “Pennsylvania Black Bear.” Topics will include adaptations, diet, and a brief overview of the natural history of the black bear within Pennsylvania. This is designed to be an informal program. Meet at Pavilion #4 (Stone Pavilion).
