This beautiful Sunday morning our greeter was Nettie Treat, Kaylee Tombs was the liturgist and also assisted Pastor Ed with Communion. Today was Pentecost Sunday. Pastor Ed’s message was “Empowered.”

It was a joy for Marcia Elliott to have Myra and her family here. Carol Cady had visited Anne Hager and she is doing good following her surgery. A big thank you to Paisley Nudd for power washing the pavilion, she wanted to surprise the ladies and help get the pavilion ready for the Strawberry Festival. We really appreciate her help! Prayer concerns for Alan Burdick, Feather Stevens, Howard Stevens and all the high school and college graduates.

This Saturday, June 15 is Brookfield’s annual Strawberry Festival. Come for a good time as you enjoy hot dogs, sloppy joes, strawberry shortcake, homemade ice cream with strawberries and strawberry pie. Serving starts at 5 p.m. Cost is a donation.

Next Sunday, June 16 we will have a Father’s Day program and coffee hour during Sunday School.

We are taking orders for blueberries to benefit the HUB. They are a 10 pound box for $30. They are always delicious. You can order from the Brookfield, Cowanesque or Westfield UM Church. The next Communities Matter U Matter is Monday, June 24 starting at 5 p.m. We will be back at Davis Park. A good evening is planned. All are invited.
