Cowanesque Valley High School class of 2019 celebrated their accomplishments during their graduation ceremony on June 8 in the high school auditorium.

The morning started with a welcome speech by Christian Kemp, introducing the graduates. Pomp and Circumstance was played by the woodwind choir, under the direction of music teacher Natalie DelVecchio.

Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance were given by Abigail Crippen and honor oration by Seth Lee. Brynne Volterman, class president, gave the mantle presentation, giving the senior mantle to junior class president Baleigh McClaren. Paige Stilts, Salutatorian and Emma Glover, Valedictorian, spoke of their memories at CV High School.

The class also recognized the 50-year alumni, a CV High School tradition. Matthew Sottolono, principal, mentioned senior scholarships which totaled more than $200,000.

Class officers include Brynne Volterman, president, Ashleigh Southard, vice president, Paige Stilts, secretary, Abigail Crippen, treasurer and Kaylin Burton, historian.
