Evening Canoe Tour
Explore the wildlife of Hills Creek Lake and learn about the lake’s history and management by canoe in a relaxed family setting. The free canoe tour is Saturday, July 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Meet at the park’s beach area. All equipment will be provided, including canoes, paddles and personal flotation devices. Those who wish may bring their own canoes and equipment. To participate, everyone must pre-register in person at the park office or by calling 570-724-4246 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.
Bobcats in Pennsylvania
Learn about the history, biology and management of the bobcat at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13 in the park’s Nature Center area located between B and C loop in the campground. This free one-hour presentation will include mounts, artifacts and video clips of actual bobcat research in Tioga County.
World of the Beaver
Find out about the World of the Beaver through photos, skulls, hides and demonstrations at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 14 in the Nature Center area. Learn about this nocturnal, semiaquatic, broad-tailed rodent’s history, biology and management.
