The Galeton Tigers volleyball team started the season off slow, with losing three of their first five games, but the Tigers volleyball team has been on a tear over the past three weeks winning four of their last five to push them to 6-4 on the season. The Tigers most recent victory was a commanding road victory against Austin.

The Tigers won 3-0 with scores of 25-23, 25-14 and 25-9. The Galeton team was once again led by Alli Macensky who tallied 11 kills and a block in the victory. Alexis Johnson also had a strong contribution with seven kills and four aces throughout the night. Tressa Succowich and Kate Kulish lead the way in assists with two and seven respectively. Succowich also added three kills.

The Tigers have slowly moved up the Northern Tier West standings sitting right in the middle of the pack and only two games out of third place. With only seven games remaining, all against league opponents, the Tigers will need to put together a successful stretch of games if they hope to continue their ascent up the standings. The Tigers next game is at home against Otto-Eldred.
