After coming up short against the North Penn-Mansfield Panthers this past week, the Cowanesque Valley Indians football team were unable to put together a winning effort against the Troy Trojans at home.

The Indians hosted one of the top NTL teams this Friday and were unable to stop their high scoring offense. In the first half, and they were outscored 43-0 and put themselves in a hole that they couldn’t get out of.

The Indians came out after halftime with a new found energy, outscoring the Trojans 16-7 in the second half but it was too little too late and couldn’t put a dent in the insurmountable deficit. The Trojans won the game with a final score of 50-16.

The Indians have lost two straight after winning their first game of the season.

The Indians will host the Bucktail Bucks team this Friday at 7 p.m. The Indians will have an excellent shot to secure their second win against a Bucktail team who are yet to win on the road.
