Head Coach John Shaffer and the Mansfield University women’s soccer team have an upcoming College ID Clinic scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 10 at Karl Van Norman Field. Registration is now open for players in grades 9-12.

The College ID Clinic is designed to allow high school players who are interested in playing college soccer the opportunity to experience a typical Mansfield University training session. The day will end with small-sided games. Goalies and field players will be split up for their sessions, and both groups will have a chance to tour the athletic facilities at Mansfield University. Following each session will be a Q&A segment with the coaching staff and current players. Attendees will be encouraged to engage and ask questions to help them better understand what it takes to play at the next level.

The clinic takes place at Karl Van Norman Field on campus at Mansfield University. Registration for the goalies begins at 10:30 a.m. with their training session following at 11 a.m. Field players will begin registering at 12 p.m. and will start training at the conclusion of the goalie session at 12:30 p.m.

Cost for the 2019 College ID Clinic is just $60 per player, and checks can be made payable to Mansfield University women’s soccer. Each player must bring their own cleats, shin guard, and water bottle, and a waiver must be printed off, completed, and brought to registration. The waiver is accessible at GoMounties.com under Women’s Soccer Camps, Clinics, & Tournaments.

The registration form and waivers are also available at the links above.

Players and parents who are interested in the clinic are asked to contact Coach Shaffer at jshaffer@mansfield.edu or (570) 662-4454.
