Christopher S. Grimes, 55, of Wellsboro, avoided injury in a two-vehicle accident on Route 6 in Charleston Township Dec. 31. Grimes was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer when he reportedly traveled through a stop sign and hit a 2004 Cadillac CTS on the driver’s side door. Neither driver sustained injuries and both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Hannah E. James, 21, of Millerton, avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 15 in Liberty Township Dec. 23. James was operating a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country when she traveled onto the shoulder of the roadway and upon correcting the vehicles trajectory entered an uncontrolled skid. The vehicle hit the guide rail and came to a final rest on the shoulder of the roadway.


A 37 year-old male from Tioga was arrested for DUI on Block Route 287 in Lawrence Township Dec. 8. The individual was operating a 2012 Chevrolet when police conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle. Upon investigation it was discovered that the individual was driving under the influence.

Terroristic threats

A 52 year-old male of Mansfield was arrested for terroristic threats in Richmond township Dec. 14. Police responded to a report of a PFA violation. Upon arrival the individual was observed on the scene and in violation of the PFA order. The individual was taken into custody. During the incident the individual made threats to another individual. Charges were filed.
