Crashes

Aaron B. Sparling, 18, of Ralston suffered suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on State Route 14 in Union Township Dec. 23. Sparling was operating a 2004 Subaru Forester when he left the road for an unknown reason. The vehicle drove up an embankment then rolled an unknown amount of times before coming to a final rest in the north bound lane of travel. Sparling refused medical treatment.

Susan A. Dillon, 68, of Wellsboro avoided injury while Therese Aigner, 79, of Sabinsville suffered suspected minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Route 6 in Shippen Township Dec. 18. Dillon was operating a 2018 Subaru Legacy and attempting to pull out of a driveway when she pulled out in front of Aigner who was operating a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500. Aigner swerved, but was unable to avoid striking Dillon. Both vehicle received disabling damage. Dillon was cited for entering or crossing a roadway.

Raymond G. Goss, 49, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 15 in Lawrence Township Dec. 25. Goss was operating a 2015 Lexus when a deer entered the roadway. Goss struck the deer and came to a stop shortly after making contact.

Police responded to one-vehicle accident on Ogdensburg Road in Hamilton Township Dec. 21. A 2008 Suzuki SX4 struck a deer that entered the roadway. The driver was uninjured and the vehicle sustained minor front end damage.

Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 15 in Tioga Township Dec. 17. A 2018 Ford box truck lost control when negotiating a true. The vehicle spun and came to a rest against the embankment. The driver was uninjured.

Robert J. Spong, 21, of Wellsboro suffered suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Pine Creek Road in Delmar Township Dec. 28. Spong was operating a 2000 Ford Ranger when the vehicle began to slide on the ice-covered road. The vehicle then slid off the roadway and down an embankment. The vehicle then rolled and came to a final rest on its roof.

Gina C. Widnikiewicz, 34, of Westfield avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 15 Dec. 24. Widnikiewicz was operating a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas when the vehicle traveled off the roadway and drove up the embankment. The vehicle then rolled and came to a final rest on the driver’s side.

Hunter D. Thompson, 21 of Knoxville avoided injury while David M. Miller suffered a suspected minor injury in a two-vehicle accident on Route 287 in Middlebury Township Dec. 26. Thompson was operating a 2004 Audi S4 and attempting to make a right hand turn out of the Middlebury Plaza parking lot. Thompson didn't notice Miller, operating a 2004 Nissan Frontier, make a left-hand turn into the plaza at the same time. Thomspon's vehicle struck Miller's and both vehicles sustained disabling damage.

Criminal mischief

State police responded to a report of an individual possible shooting a pellet gun at a house. Upon arrival two pieces of siding with a combination of four holes were found on the front of the the house. Anyone with information pertaining to this case is asked to contact state police.
