Calex Bellows, a senior at Williamson High School, is the son of William Bellows of Millerton and the late Carisa Buzako.
He is being recognized as Student of the Month for January because of his performance in two departments: industrial arts and social studies.
The teachers who nominated Calex said that he “consistently volunteered his time many days during lunch and learned to help out in the shops with projects, working construction and tearing down the set for the play. He has displayed great personal qualities that include helping out other students and having an easygoing positive attitude. Calex is the type of guy that you would want to work with inside and outside of the classroom.”
Outside of school, Calex spends much of his time working, hunting and volunteering his time with the Big Elm Volunteer Fire Department.
After graduation, Calex plans on entering into an electrical apprenticeship. The faculty and staff of Williamson are proud of you.
