The following individuals have appeared or are scheduled to appear in front of District Judge James Edgcomb.

Bryan C. Pierce, 34, of Galeton was charged by Westfield police with resisting arrest, driving under the influence high rate of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol above .02 and driving under the influence of alcohol.. Police stopped Pierce after receiving a report of a careless driver. During the arrest, Pierce allegedly spat at an officer. Preliminary alcohol tests read .149 percent. Pierce was jailed with bail set at $3,500.

Joshua C. Hughes, 35, of Elkland was charged by Elkland Borough Police with simple assault, terroristic threats with intent to terrorize victim, and recklessly endangering another. On Aug. 1, Hughes allegedly attempted to strangle the female victim, punched her, and threatened to kill and bury her.

Luke I. West, 35, of Osceola was charged by state police in Lawrenceville. West allegedly crossed highway lines three times, leading to the traffic stop. West was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol generally impaired/incapable of driving safely, driving under the influence high rate of alcohol, and traffic violations. Preliminary alcohol tests read .149 percent.

Brenton G. Whitehill, 34, of Elkland was charged by Elkland borough police with eight counts of forgery, four counts of theft by deception and three counts of issuing bad checks. Whitehill allegedly used the victim’s checks to write checks totaling $1,790 to himself and on closed accounts. Whitehill was taken to Tioga County Prison on $15,000 bail. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rose Louise Puma, 39, of Lawrenceville was charged by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol generally impaired/incapable of driving safely, driving under the influence high rate of alcohol, and traffic violations. Puma allegedly crossed the fog line three times while on State Route 287 in Lawrence Township. Preliminary alcohol tests read .153 percent.

Kerstyn Marie Buck, 22, of Tioga was charged by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol generally impaired/incapable of driving safely, driving under the influence high rate of alcohol, and traffic violations. Buck was stopped by police on State Route 287 in Lawrence Township May 11. Preliminary alcohol tests read .153 percent.

Alexander K. Abbott, 20, of Knoxville was charged by Tioga borough police with theft by deception. He allegedly gave the victim an $800 check knowing it was not going to be accepted at the bank.
