Students entertain club members

The WilliamSong chorus, under the direction of Seth Hampton from Williamson High School, entertained the Elkland Area Senior Citizens Club at their Nov. 7 meeting.

The Elkland Area Senior Citizens Club met Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Elkland Fire Hall. Club president Dick Vargeson welcomed everyone and Raymond Doan opened with a prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Forty-three members enjoyed a complete turkey dinner prepared by the Osceola Big M.

The Williamson High School Chorus, under the direction of Seth Hampton and accompanied on the piano by Leslie Gardner, gave a great performance of unique and entertaining numbers along with very nice Christmas carols.

Anniversaries for the month were Raymond and Marilyn Doan.

The club drawings were won by Judy Graves (door prize), Barb McNeill (Osceola Big M gift card) and Judy Stanley (50/50 raffle).

Our next meeting will be at noon on Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Elkland Fire Hall and visitors and new members are welcome.
