Lawrenceville Borough Council met Aug. 5 at the Erb Inspection building on Tower Road as the former meeting room was inside the Lawrenceville fire hall which was destroyed by fire last month. The brief meeting was held to pay the monthly bills. The next meeting is set for 7 p.m. Sept. 3.

Residents who attended the meeting questioned the payment of a retainer to Larson Design Group. The secretary could not respond without looking up the bill, which was from 2018.

Mansel O’Dell asked why he was not notified when the company doing the slip lining decided to re-camera the line. He said it caused his system to back-up.

Council said it used the 911 alert system to notify those residents who are signed up for service.

Council halted further discussion. Those issues will be discussed at the September meeting, as council said it met only to pay the bills.
