A group of women from the Austinville Mission Group, a part of the Austinville Church, recently created handmade teddy bears for all of the children. Linda Miller and Sandy Mattocks dropped off the teddy bears. Bradford-Tioga Head Start, Inc. staff then delivered the homemade teddy bears (using social distancing practices) to children enrolled in the Troy 1 and Troy 2 classrooms and Troy Early Head Start. Clark Wood Elementary teachers and staff celebrated the end of the school year by with a parade around Elkland Thursday, June 4. Students and families were able to see their teachers once more as the parade toured Elkland and Osceola.
Head Start teachers who are missing their students provided each student with their very own “flat teacher” to connect in a unique way. Bennett, from the Canton 2 Classroom, is with his “flat teacher aide,” Mrs. Sakers.
