Kurtis Easton pitched five innings Wednesday in the Indians loss to the Hubbers.

The Cowanesque Valley baseball team defeated Williamson in dominant fashion Tuesday, April 16.

The Indians scored 15 runs in three innings to earn a mercy rule win at home. The Indians scored five runs in the first followed by one in the second. In the third, Cowanesque Valley put up nine runs to go ahead by 15 and earn the mercy rule victory.

Kurtis Easton led the Indians at the plate going 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs.

Tucker St. Peter matched Easton with three hits and two RBIs in the win.

Kade Sottolano went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Seth Huyler earned two RBIs and crossed the plate twice in the win.

Isaac Huntingdon also had two RBIs as he went 1-for-2 at the plate.

Christian Kemp knocked in a run in a 1-for-3 night from the plate.

Following the win, the Indians suffered a one-run loss to Smethport Thursday, April 17.

In the first the Indians gave up three runs to the Hubbers. In their at bats the Indians responded with three runs of their own to tie the game at three apiece.

In the second the Indians held Smethport off the scoreboard and added two runs in their at bats.

The Hubbers tied the game once again in the third with two more runs.

Both teams added two runs in the fourth to keep the game knotted at 7-7.

For the first time in the game, neither team scored in the fifth. After another quiet inning at the plate in the sixth the Hubbers scored the decisive run in the top of the seventh.

The Indians failed to score in the bottom of the inning and feel to Smethport 8-7 for their eighth loss of the season.

Huyler led the Indians at the plate in the loss as he went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Fitzwater recorded two hits in three at bats for the Indians.

Sottolano had two hits and an RBI in for Cowanesque Valley.

Cowanesque Valley looked to put a couple wins together this week when they traveled to Sayre Tuesday before hosting Port Allegany Wednesday. The Indians hit the road again Thursday against North Penn-Mansfied.
