The Cowanesque Valley Indians dropped their fourth game of the season Friday night. Early on the offense was driving down the field against the Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams. After an early touchdown pass from Seth Huyler to Taaj Dallas was called back because of a penalty. After that the Indians struggled to get the offense back on track. The defense held the Rams scoreless in the first quarter. But the Rams offense would ignite in the second quarter to go up 16-0. The Indians would score score late in the game but it was too late to stage a comeback even with the defense holding steady and keeping the Rams off the scoreboard for the entire fourth quarter. The game would finish 24-6.
Quarterback Seth Huyler would go 9/15 for 141 yards on the night.
Taaj Dallas led the Indians rushing with 29 yards.
Kole Hurler had five receptions on the night for 83 yards. Matt Barber added another 15 yards receiving for the Indians offense.
On Defense Barber would lead the Indians with seven tackles. Owen Fitzwater and Taaj Dallas would each add six tackles.
The Indians have another home game this week when they take on the North Penn-Mansfield Panthers. The Panthers are coming off a 34-7 win against Troy Friday night.
