The Williamson Lady Warriors softball team earned a big win over Sayre Monday, April 22.

Tied 2-2 heading into the fourth the Lady Warriors put up 16 runs in the fourth and fifth innings to earn an 18-4 victory. The win was Williamson’s second of the year.

Williamson kept the offense rolling Tuesday night against Canton. The Lady Warriors put up four runs in the first and another five between the third and fourth innings. But, Canton kept the game close and scored a run in each of the final two innings to edge the Lady Warriors 10-9.

Williamson struggled in Thursday’s game against Troy. The Lady Trojans put 16 runs on the board and cruised to a 16-2 victory.

Williamson faced Athens on Monday, April 29 before a home game Wednesday against Wyalusing.

Thursday, May 2 the Lady Warriors will travel to Cowanesque Valley for their third game of the week. The scores from all of this week’s games will be in the Free Press next week.
