The Williamson Lady Warriors hosted Wyalusing Wednesday, May 1 and lost 11-1 to the 13-1 Lady Rams.

Wyalusing struck early with four runs in the top half of the first. Williamson had no answer at the plate against the Lady Rams Hailey Jayne. Jayne struck out nine batters in five innings and held Williamson scoreless until the bottom of the fifth.

Williamson did hold the Lady Rams scoreless in the second, third and fourth. Wyalusing struck again in the fifth with five runs to earn a five-inning victory.

Emily Champluvier led the charge for Wyalusing with three hits two RBIs and two runs scored in the win.

Wyalusing had 11 total hits against Williamson. The loss drops Williamson’s record to 2-11 on the season.

Williamson traveled to Northeast Bradford Monday, May 6 before a home game with Sayre May 8. The scores fro meths games will be in next week’s Free Press.
