The Cowanesque Valley Lady Indians earned two victories last week to improve their record to 6-8 on the season.
On the road against Towanda Tuesday, the Lady Indians took a three set victory. Leading the charge for the Lady Indians at the net was Makayla Vargeson with 10 kills. Vargeson would also add three aces in the victory.
Kaylin Burton was close behind Vargeson with seven kills of her own as well as 12 digs on defense.
Karmen Short had four kills and a team leading seven aces, plus 14 digs on the night.
Rylie Walker was responsible for two kills and eight digs on defense in the win.
Following the three set victory the Lady Indians traveled to Troy for a five set match that required the girls to come back from a 2-1 deficit. Scores for the night were 25-20, 20-25, 19-25, 25-16, 15-9.
Rylie Walker led the team in kills in Thursday’s victory with 11. Walker contributed 15 digs as well.
Following close behind Walker was Makayla Vargeson with 10 kills. Vargeon would also have four aces and 25 digs.
Kaylin Burton would bring home five kills, two aces, and 27 digs as part of the victory.
Rounding out the scoring was Karmen Short with four kills and a team leading 35 digs.
After the two wins Cowanesque Valley played match Tuesday night on the road against Northeast Bradford who came into the match with a .500 record of 5-5.

Following the Northeast Bradford match Cowanesque will only have three remaining games this season.
