The Galeton Lady Tigers volleyball team had a dominant win over Smethport Tuesday night.

The girls took the victory in three sets with scores of 25-8, 25-10 and 25-5. Kelsey Bennet led the team with three kills. Katie Pagano had two kills and three aces. Marika Lechler contributed two kills and a team leading 11 aces in the win. Makenna Shuemaker added four assists and two kills for the Lady Tigers.

Following the win over Smethport, Galeton traveled to Coudersport Wednesday night. Against Coudersport Galeton would fight hard for five games but walk away with a loss. Scores for the evening were 26-24, 26-24, 18-25, 17-25 and 7-15.

Erin Cimino and Maddie Sauley led the team with five kills each. Cimino also had a block. While Maddie Sauley also led the Lady Tigers with 10 aces.

Regan Fuller and Kate Kulish each added four kills on offense. Kulish had four assists as well as an ace. Makenna Shuemaker had three kills, six assists and three aces to round out the Lady Tigers offense.

After the loss the Tigers league record is 6-5. Leaving them still in the hunt for districts.

Monday the Lady Tigers took on Cameron County in their “Dig Pink” night. Scores form this game will be reported next week.
