With the Sept. 21 Fall Fest date closing in, the fundraising committee and Louise Wheaton, our church secretary, are hard a work trying to close up loose ends for the annual event.
Last minute details and activities include: advanced chicken barbecue tickets, halves $8 and dinners $10 are available at the church office during the week.
Cow Pie Bingo tickets need to be turned back in by this weekend; cakes for the cake wheel need to be brought to the church office or dropped off at Firemen’s Field on Sept. 21; a basket-making party will be held this Thursday, Sept. 12 at St. Thomas Hall to assemble baskets for the chance auction, phone the church office for time; and soliciting extra help for the chicken barbecue.
In order to finalize plans, a meeting will be held 6 p.m., this Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Firemen’s Field, Knoxville, the site of Fall Fest.
Andrew St. Peter, Grand Knight of the Elkland Council, Knights of Columbus, has announced that there will be an Initiation Degree for the council 7 p.m., Sept. 17, St. Thomas Hall and a Formation Degree 7 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 19, in St. Thomas Hall.
Reminder: The fall Mass schedule for St. Thomas Sunday Mass, 11:30 a.m., starts this Sunday, Sept. 15.

We would all like to thank Jeanie Kohut and her Labor Day sales crew and for all their hard work on this year’s sale. We are still wondering where all the treasures are coming from. Each year there seems to be a greater variety and a greater quantity.
