A 16-year-old female and a 17-year-old passenger, both of Elkland, avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on Bliss Road in Lawrence Township Jan. 6. The individual was operating a 2009 Mercury Milan when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a guide rail. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Bryan’s Towing.

Daniel J. Fuller, 18, of Mansfield, and Kelsey M. Gesford, 18, of Wellsboro, both avoided injury in a two-vehicle accident on Old Mill Road in Sullivan Township Jan. 2. Fuller was operating a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 when an oncoming vehicle failed to yield half of the roadway and struck Fuller’s vehicle on the driver’s side. The other vehicle continued traveling east on Old Mill Road and failed to stop and provide information. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Shana R. Boost, 41, of Knoxville, and three passengers avoided injury, while one other passenger suffered suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Catlin Hollow Road in Charleston Township Jan. 6. Boost was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer when the vehicle went off the side of the roadway. Boost overcorrected which caused the vehicle to spin and travel off the roadway over and embankment and into a creek.

Christoper D. Lee, 31, of Westfield and Carlos Rosa, 40, of Orlando, Fla. both avoided injury in a two-vehicle accident on Buckwheat Hollow Road in Lawrence Township Dec. 18. Rosa was operating a 2014 Volvo and became stuck on the hill due to snow on the road. Lee was operating a 2018 International Harvester and came up behind Rosa and attempted to pass him. The plow wing on Lee’s vehicle struck the other vehicle and caused minor scratches.


Police responded to a reported burglar alarm at the Dandy Mini Mart located at 10737 Route 249, Brookefield Township, Dec. 30. Upon arrival police observed that an individual had broken through the side window and stolen miscellaneous items including cigarettes and over the counter medicine. The individual then exited the store through the same window and fled on foot heading south. The individual is a white non-hispanic male and was wearing a dark blue/black hoodie, gray stocking hat, blue jeans, white and black shoes, and orange gloves. Anyone with information pertaining to this case is asked to contact state police and refer to incident #PA2019-1732298.

Criminal Mischief

A 40 year-old man of Harrison Valley, was arrested for criminal mischief in Clymer Township Dec. 29. Police responded to a report of an individual breaking a glass door and driving through the victim’s lawn. The individual then went into the residence to speak with the occupants and then broke the glass door when exiting. Charges were filed through district court.
