Theft

A 35-year-old Lawrenceville man was the victim of theft on Sept. 27. Police are investigating the theft of a driver’s license, a machete valued at $75 and $300 in cash from the victim’s wallet. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Mansfield.

Scattering rubbish

A 54-year-old Westfield man reported to police that someone had deposited a bag of household waste along the roadway adjacent to his property on Baker Hill Road, Deerfield Township between Sept. 8 and Oct. 5. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Mansfield.

Crashes

Sara E. Cleveland, 32, of Mansfield and her passenger, Anthony J. Calabrese, 54, of Mansfield, escaped injury in a three-vehicle crash on South Main Street, Richmond Township Oct. 5. Cleveland was traveling south in a 2010 Dodge Challenger when she drove off the right side of the road for an unknown reason and hit a parked 2016 Honda Accord, which hit a parked 2008 Mitsubishi Raider. She then fled the scene and was later identified and cited for failing to drive on roadways laned for traffic. All vehicles sustained minor damage.

State police are searching for the driver of a white Chevrolet Silverado that was involved in hitting and killing a dog on Route 328, Jackson Township at about 2:45 p.m. Oct. 11, and fleeing the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Mansfield.

Kathryn A. Hafer, 46, of Trout Run, suffered a suspected minor injury in a one-vehicle crash on Route 184, Cogan House Township, Lycoming County Oct. 2. Hafer was traveling west in a 2000 Ford F-150 XLT pick-up truck when she drove off the road into a ditch and hit an embankment. The truck then overturned onto the driver’s Sid and onto its roof. She was wearing a seat belt. She was cited for failing to drive on roadways laned for traffic.

Michael A. Kilmer, 43, of Roaring Branch, was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash on Route 14, Union Township, Oct. 10. Kilmer was traveling north in a 2002 Ford Mustang when the vehicle overtook a truck tractor by passing it in the southbound lane. As he passed, his car hit a barrel in the northbound lane and drove off the right side of the road, traveling about 40 yards after leaving the roadway and into a ditch. Kilmer was transported to Troy Guthrie Hospital via Western Alliance EMS. He was wearing a seat belt.

There were no injuries in two incidents involving deer in the roadway.

A 2016 Subaru Outback hit a deer on Route 249, Chatham Township Oct. 15. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

A 2015 General Motors Acadia hit a deer on Route 15, Richmond Township Oct. 14. The vehicle was driven from the scene. No injuries were reported in either crash.
