Crash

Alyssa M. Sacks, 26, of Niagara Falls, N.Y. sustained suspected serious injuries following a one-vehicle accident on U.S. Route 15 in Covington Township on Oct. 24. Sacks was operating a 2018 Toyota Corolla when a deer entered the roadway. Sacks swerved to miss the deer and struck the guiderail. The vehicle then ricocheted across both lanes of travel and struck the west guiderail before traveling across the highway again and coming to a stop. Sacks was assisted at the scene by the Blossburg Fire and Mansfield EMS and transported to Williamsport Hospital.

Enoch Blackwell, 66, of Morris avoided injury in a two-vehicle accident on Route 287 in Morris Township Oct. 28. Blackwell was operating a 2019 Nissan Frontier when he struck a 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche on the opposite side of the road. There was minor damage to both vehicles.

Benjamin L. Giesy, 41, of Rochester, N.Y. received an injury in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 15 in Tioga Township, Oct. 31. Giesy was operating a 2005 Honda Accord when the vehicle drifted off the shoulder of the right lane. Giesy attempted to regain control of the vehicle and went into an uncontrolled spin and struck the guardrail beside the rightmost lane.

Jarred P. Kowalski, 20, of Bushkill and a passenger avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. Route 15 in Liberty Township Nov. 2. Kowalski was operating a 2003 Mazda 6 when a deer entered the roadway from the left side. Kowalski struck the deer and was able to move the vehicle to the right shoulder of the roadway.

Harassment

Collen Price, 58, of Lawrenceville and Timothy Price, 63, of Lawrenceville were arrested after state police responded to a reported domestic disturbance on Pleasant Drive, Nelson township on Oct. 31. The incident occurred as both parties engaged in a verbal altercation, during which various items were thrown by both parties causing physical contact. No injuries were reported as a result of the altercation.
