Harassment

State police responded to a reported verbal argument at the intersections of Elmira Street and North Academy Street in Mansfield Boro Dec. 6. Summary harassment citations are pending.

A 37-year-old female of Mainseburg was arrested for harassment in Sullivan Township on Nov. 30.

Theft

Police are investigating an alleged motor vehicle theft that occurred on Morris Run Road in Hamilton Township Oct. 27. The suspect allegedly stole an unattended utility truck and drove the vehicle for an unknown amount of time and then returned it. The investigation is ongoing.

Found property

An abandoned 26-speed mountain bike was recovered by Mansfield state police on Brookside Lane in Richmond Township Oct. 26.

Trespass

Travis Gardner, 26, was arrested for trespassing when police responded to a reported burglary in progress on Cowanesque Street, Lawrenceville Boro, on Dec. 3. Upon arrival, it was observed that Gardner was sleeping inside the apartment. He was taken into custody and charges were filed.

Crash

Brent Goodwin, 42, or Fairfax, Va., and three passengers avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 15 in Lawrence Township Dec.1. Goodwin was operating a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse when he encountered slush in the roadway and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then struck a concrete barrier and came to a final rest.

John R. Buker, 85, Wellsboro, and Martin L. Rankin, 71 of Wellsboro, were involved in a two-vehicle accident on Route 6 in Charleston Township Dec. 7. Rankin was operating a 2016 Subaru Outback and had pulled to the side of the road to remove a dead deer carcass from the roadway when Buker, operating a 2008 Chevrolet Impala struck the rear of Rankin’s vehicle. Buker’s vehicle overturned after the collision and came to a final rest on its rood in the center of the roadway. Rankin and a passenger were uninjured. Buker was assisted on scene by Wellsboro Fire Department and EMS and transported to Soldier and Sailors to be treated for injuries.

Eric Makley, 57, of Blossburg and Elizabeth C. Williams, 18, of Covington, both avoided injury in a two-vehicle accident on South Main Street in Richmond Township, Dec. 8. Makley was operating a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 traveling north when he traveled into the southbound lane to turn into Butters car wash. Williams was operating a 1999 Saturn and struck Makley’s vehicle as he turned. Both vehicles came to a final rest in the car wash parking lot.

Kaylin E. Kernan, 30, of Cameron Mills, N.Y. avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on Brookefield Road in Brookfield Township Dec. 7. Kernan was operating a 2010 Dodge Avenger when a deer entered the roadway. Kernan was unable to avoid the collision and struck the deer. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
