After finishing the 2018 season with only four wins, the Williamson Warriors boys soccer team has started their season off with bang, already surpassing their win total from last season and winning four straight dating back to Sept. 14. The Warriors have won games over the last two weeks against Northern Potter, North Penn-Liberty, Galeton and Sayre.

This season has been a strong offensive showing for the Warriors, they have scored an average of three goals a game this season, and in victories have averaged nearly five goals per contest. They have also reeled off four straight wins and now sit tied for third in the NTL division just a game behind the Athens Wildcats. The Warriors sit at 5-2 with a 3-1 conference record and will look to continue to their strong play as the season continues.

The Warriors defense is also much improved from just a season ago, the Warriors went from allowing five goals a game to dropping that number dramatically to just under three this season.

The Warriors will look to continue their winning streak, and also move up in the NTL standings as they travel to take on the Wellsboro Hornets on Monday , Sept. 23. Both teams sit with a 3-1 league record and will look to create separation from the Hornets and move up to second in the standings.
