Oswayo Valley attempts to block Austin.

In a nail-biting game, Austin’s varsity volleyball team won their second game this season against Oswayo Valley on Oct. 11.

It took five matches, but Austin ultimately came out on top, 3-2. Set scores were 25-15, 25-14, 7-25, 20-25, 15-13.

Angeline Watson had nine kills, 13 digs, one block and 11 aces to contribute to Austin’s win. Other key players were Cerissa Glover with six kills and four aces, and Tayla Brewer with nine kills and four blocks.

Oswayo Valley’s Naomi Cook had nine kills, four assists, 13 aces and 21 points throughout the five matches.

The student section was loud and proud throughout the five matches, cheering on the team and eventually storming the court and doing a huddle with the team after the win.
