The first Coudersport Area Chamber of Commerce membership meeting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on March 24, at the Hotel Crittenden.
In an effort to properly present the current Board members and their ideas to the business community as a whole, this meeting will be open to everyone. The chamber urges all entities to come and personally meet the Board to find out what plans are in the works.
A few items on the agenda will be updates on Maple Festival, Yard Sale Weekend, Christmas Craft Show and related events. The chamber will also discuss new means of communication and further ways that the organization can help grow business.
"We sincerely hope you will find a way to attend this very important gathering," one board member said. "Who knows, you might learn something new and at the same time put an end to all the rumors."
After this initial gathering, membership meetings will be held only for paid members, except when a speaker is scheduled. If a special speaker is on the agenda, the public will be invited to attend.
Since being formed, the newly reorganized board of directors held it’s first official meeting on Feb. 20. Members were able to start assessing suggestions given to them by attendees of a recent Meet and Greet event, plus make decisions on what current projects to continue, what former projects to revive and what new projects to pursue.
