Theft by Deception

State police are investigating a report of identity theft that occurred in Sharon Township between Sept. 5 and Sept. 6. An unknown actor gained access to the victims debit information and purchased two gift cards totaling $160. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

Theft

State police are investigating a reported theft that occurred in Allegany Township on Sunday, Sept. 22. A red XC600 Polaris snowmobile was taken from a campsite by a known actor and transported to an unknown location. The snowmobile was towed away by a maroon Dodge truck and a silver trailer with New York plates. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

Crash

Dominic Delmont, 27, of Levittown avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on Pine Hill Road in Stewardson Township on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Delmont, operating a 2014 Subaru Impreza, was traveling south when a deer ran into the roadway. Delmont struck the deer, causing disabling damage to the vehicle. Delmont and a passenger were both uninjured.

Tontong Jiang, 24, of Pittsburgh avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on Wharton Road in Wharton Township on Friday, Sept. 20. Jiang, operating a 2017 Honda Civic, was making a right turn onto E. Fork Road when the vehicle struck the guard rail. Jiang and a passenger were both uninjured.

Jeffrey Johnson, 33, of Coudersport avoided injury in a one-vehicle accident on N. Brookland Road in Ulysses Township Saturday, Sept. 21. Johnson, operating a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south and swerved to miss a deer.

Angelus Fernandes, 33, of Berlington, Ontario sustained injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Wharton Road in Wharton Township on Saturday, Sept. 21. Fernandes, operating a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja, was negotiating a curve when a deer entered the roadway. Fernandes swerved right to avoid the deer and entered the southbound shoulder where he lost control in the gravel and had to lay the motorcycle on its side. Fernandes was flown to Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.

Trespass

State police are investigating an incident defiant trespass on private property that occurred in Sweden Township on Saturday, Sept. 21. Five ATVs entered posted property belonging to the victim. The ATVs are believed to be a Suzuki, three Yamahas and one Honda. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

DUI

A male, 30, of Coudersport was arrested following a traffic stop in Coudersport on Friday, Sept. 19. During the stop police determined he was driving under the influence of drugs. Charges are pending.

Kidnap

Police responded to a report of kidnapping in Oswayo Borough Sunday, Sept. 15. After an investigation it was determined that no crime occurred.
