Noah Leightley hosted a Dedication Ceremony for his Eagle project, Austin’s Fallen Heroes. It honored the seven fallen from Austin from WWII, Korean War and Vietnam.

The dedication was on Saturday, Sept. 29 on the Town Square.

The families of the fallen were invited to attend and each family was presented with a garden flag which was a replica of the banners hung along Main Street.

Chaplain John Kallerson, retired United States Army Colonel led the service as well as performed the Invocation and Benediction. The Potter County Honor Guard performed Taps as well as a 21 Gun Salute along with Austin Boy Scout Troop 524. Katie Bailey and Hannah Uber of Emporium performed the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America on trumpets.

The Austin Borough was Noah’s beneficiary for his project and hung the banners.

Any left over monies raised will be put into a fund to be used for the project to be picked up by someone to take on to include all veterans of service.
