Ryan Richard Dexter, 37, of Genesee, was charged with three counts of driving under the influence, public drunkenness, driving an unregistered vehicle, failure to carry registration and careless driving following a report of an individual unable to walk or stand at the Dollar General Store in Ulysses Jan. 17. When police arrived at the scene they observed Dexter in the front entrance of the store leaning on a table. Upon making contact with Dexter police observed him to be extremely lethargic, fatigued and exhibiting very poor balance and coordination. Dexter admitted he had taken prescribed Vicodin earlier in the morning. Police administered standard field sobriety tests that indicated signs of impairment. Lab tests were administered which confirmed Dexter was under the influence of Diazepam and Fentanyl on the date of the incident. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 22.
Robert Jon Hurd, 30, of Galeton, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility following a investigation by a confidential informant May 4, 2019. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 22.
Casey Lynn Clayton, 32, of Galeton was charged with simple assault and harassment following police dispatch to a reported domestic incident on March 22. When police arrived at the scene they observed evidence of a recent altercation and observed Clayton to have dried blood on her clothes and person. Clayton admitted she was in an altercation with her boyfriend. Police observed evidence of the altercation on the boyfriend who told police that Clayton bit him and scratched him several times during the altercation. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 26.
