GALETON – Susquehannock Trail Club secretary Lois Morey, of Galeton, was presented with the club’s highest honor, the “Big Shoes” award during the group’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Year.  The award signifies “Lifetime Achievement” for involvement with the club, which formed in 1967.

Morey was one of the first “Circuit Hikers” on the 85 mile loop in Potter County’s Susquehannock State Forest.  She completed the trail with her parents in the early 1970s, and they were the first family group to hike the trail together.
