The Oswayo Valley Greenwaves won against Friendship, 6-1 last Thursday.

The Greenwaves got on the board in the first inning; Gunner Bean drove in one when he singled. They then notched four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to a walk by Sawyer Prince and a groundout by Noah Wichert.

Prince got the win for Oswayo Valley. He surrendered one run on four hits over five innings, striking out 11 and walking one. Wichert threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Wichert recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Oswayo Valley.

Micah Hosley took the loss for Friendship. He surrendered six runs on four hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five.

Oswayo Valley saw the ball well, racking up six hits in the game. Bean and Colton Gietler each racked up multiple hits for Oswayo Valley Greenwaves Varsity. Bean led Oswayo Valley with three hits in four at bats. Oswayo Valley was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Ian Bilski made the most plays with 13.

Evan Bogart went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Friendship in hits.
