COUDERSPORT -- Rebecca Ross resigned from the Coudersport school board during a special meeting held on July 17.

Ross resigned because she moved out of Region 2, superintendent Jackie Canter said. Her term expires December 2019.

The board held the special meeting with intentions of hiring a high school librarian, but the board voted to continue advertising for the position.

The board agreed to replace a section of the sidewalk at the high school at an estimated cost of $7,000, Canter said.

There are two voting meetings this month to get everything ready for the start of school. The first is 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12 and the second is 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26; both are in the LGI room at the high school.
