Police are investigating the theft of currency and prescription pain pills from a residence in Harrison Township June 8. The case remains open pending filing of charges.
A 50-year-old Austin female was the victim of identity theft at Route 6 West, Coudersport June 16. An investigation is continuing.
Vera Valenti, 56, of Austin, was arrested and charged with simple trespass and disorderly conduct following a complaint at Costello Avenue, Austin June 19.
An unnamed male driver crashed his 2005 Mercury Milan on Route 155, Keating Township, June 20, but it is uknown if he was injured. His passenger, 30-year-old Axle Tankersley, of Eldred, escaped injury in the crash. The vehicle was traveling south when the driver entered into the northbound lane of travel on a righthand curve and drove off the roadway, hitting an embankment. Tankersley was wearing a seat belt but it is unknown if the driver was. Neither occupant was transported to the hospital.
Austin L. Glaze, 22, of Freedom, N.H., suffered a suspected minor injury in a motorcycle crash on Route 49, Harrison Township, June 14. Upon further investigation, police said a deer ran into the roadway and hit the 2020 Harley-Davidson Road Glide and rider. Glaze was transported to UPMC Cole for medical treatment.
Unauthorized use of motor vehicle
Police are investigating a report of a missing vehicle at 204 Schoolhouse Road, Sweden Township June 18. Further investigation revealed that the 2008 Ford Escape was being used by the owner’s son’s friends who are unauthorized to use the vehicle.
Firearm sale or transfer
Police are investigating a potential firearms act violation at John’s Sporting Goods, 27 Whispering Pines Lane, West Branch Township, Potter County June 10. Police said the suspect attempted to purchase a firearm and falsely completed paperwork.
Chad Baker, 34, of Eldred, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance following initiation of a routine traffic enforcement stop of his 2001 Ford Windstar on North Bingham Road, Genesee Township June 4. Baker was released upon termination of the stop.
Police are investigating a report of suspected marijuana plants at 26 2nd St., Roulette Township June 20. During the investigation, troopers found two marijuana plants and various items of paraphernalia in the residence. The investigation is ongoing.
Police are investigating a phone scam that occurred at a 77-year-old Austin woman’s residence June 20.
