Harassment

Harold L. Sherwood, 63, of Shinglehouse, was charged with harassment after he allegedly used profanities and threatening language on four separate occasions toward a Sabinsville man on Union Street, Shinglehouse, May 27.

Found property

Coudersport police responded to a Hector Township residence for reports of found shotgun shells laying along Phoenix Run Road April 13. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-274-8690.

Crashes

Melanie A. Morley, 64, of Ulysses, and Mikayla M. Quattrone, 20, of Portville, N.Y., escaped injury in a two-vehicle crash on Route 49, Hebron Township May 25, but the driver of the vehicle Quattrone was in, Jenna D. Hutt, 23, of Shinglehouse, suffered a minor injury. Morely was traveling west in a 2008 Hundai Elantra when she slowed down to take photos of a dead bear along the southern berm of Route 49. Hutt, operating a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, was traveling behind her and was unable to stop before hitting Morley’s vehicle. Both cars were towed from the scene. Hutt was treated on the scene by Coudersport Firemen’s Ambulance personnel.

Villame Boladau, 41, of Uniontown, suffered minor injury in a one-vehicle crash on Pine Hill Road, Stewardson Township May 21. Boladau was traveling north in a 2003 Ford Explorer when he lost control of the car and hit an embankment. He was cited for failing to drive on roadways laned for traffic.

William W. MacDonald, 60, of Ulysses, escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash on Route 6, Ulysses Township, May 30. MacDonald was making a left hand turn in a 2006 Sterling 6X4 9500 Series 10 when the bulldozer on the trailing unit slid partially off the trailer, and partly tilted the trailer onto its side due to the weight of the bulldozer. MacDonald was wearing his seat belt.

DUI

Jeffrey W. Duell, Jr., 29, of Coudersport, escaped injury in a one vehicle crash on Route 6, Eulalia Township, June 1. Duell was traveling in a 1999 Ford F250 when he left his lane of travel and hit the guard rail on the south side. Duell was cited for speeding.

A 43-year-old male of Coudersport was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a traffic stop on East Maple Street, Coudersport June 1. Police stoped the suspect’s 1991 Ford F-150 XLT. Charges are pending blood alcohol content test results.

Theft

PennDOT, Coudersport, was the victim of a theft between May 21 and May 31, when someone stole two 45 mph speed limit signs valued at $20 each, two five-foot metal posts valued at $20 each, and two five-foot metal posts valued at $20 each at Emmel Road and Fox Hill Road, Ulysses Township. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

Drug possession

Jan Widnikiewicz, 36, of Galeton, was arrested for using methamphetamine following a welfare check on him at 6 Rausch Road, Abbott Township May 16. Police said he had been using meth for about a year and had recently come off a five-day bender. The complainant related she was searching one of Widnikiewicz’s bags located in the bed of his truck when she discovered what she believed to be meth, and contacted police. The investigation is ongoing.

Death investigation

Micael Quinn, 68, of Galeton, was determined to have died of natural causes between May 26 and May 28 following a death investigation by state police, who were assisted by the Potter County Coroner’s office.

Assault

A 20-year-old health aid worker was the victim of assault May 7, in Shinglehouse. Police are still investigating the incident that caused bodily injury.

Criminal trespass

A 64-year-old Galeton man was the victim of criminal trespass when someone cut a bungee cord holding a tarp down that was covering a tractor in West Branch Township May 6. The value of the cord was $10. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

A 46-year-old Port Allegany man was the victim of criminal mischief when someone put oil on all doorknobs in the school bus garage at 445 Route 6 West, Eulalia Township May 15. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
