Corruption of minors

Police investigated an allegation regarding drug use in Shinglehouse Boro March 6. Upon investigation the incident was determined to be unfounded.

PFA relinquish

An individual in Sweden Township was served a protection from abuse order and was ordered to surrender any and all firearms registered by the individual March 9. The firearms were ordered to be surrendered within 24 hours. The investigation is ongoing.


Police responded to a burglary that occurred on Notch Road in West Branch Township March 11. The victim related that nothing was stolen however items were damaged. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.


Police investigated a reported theft in Austin Boro involving a prepaid Visa Credit Card being sent to a fraudulent unknown recipient March 12. The investigation is ongoing.


Tammie L. Lampman, 49, of Westfield and Otto A. Orszagh, 87, of Ulysses both avoided injury in a two-vehicle accident on Fox Hill Road in Ulysses Township. Orszagh was operating a 2015 Ford Escape when he crested a knoll in the roadway and observed a 2019 Ram 1500, operated by Lampman, parked in the Northbound lane of travel. Orszagh struck the vehicle.

Scattering Rubbish

Unknown individuals dumped a bag of seemingly household garbage onto the victim’s property on Genesee Mills Road in Bingham Township. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.


Tyrel Baker, 21, of Ulysses was arrested for driving under the influence on State Route 49 in Harrison Township, Feb. 19. Police conducted a traffic stop of a 1995 Geo operated by Baker and upon contact with Baker determined he was impaired. Baker was then transported to UPMC Cole for a blood draw. Charges were filed through district court.


Police responded to a reported drug overdose in Sharon Township March 10. Upon arrival at the scene police administered naloxone to the individual. The individual is expected to make a complete recovery. Shinglehouse EMS assisted at the scene.
