Theft

State police are investigating a report of a theft of an electric pressure washer from a residence on Rose Lake Lane, Allegany Township, Potter County June 8. Police said a garden hose also was damaged. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-274-8690.

Police are investigating the theft of two diamond wedding bands from a 48-year-old Coudersport man June 8. The two rings, valued at $4,500, were taken from a residence at 3030 Dividing Ridge Road, Homer Township June 8. Anyone with information is asked to contact state polecat 814-274-8690.

Crashes

Joseph B. Short, 55, of Emporium, escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash on Dividing Ridge Road, Homer Township June 9. Short’s passenger, 55-year-old Jennifer L. Short, suffered a suspected minor injury in the crash. Short was traveling north in a 2007 Toyota Yaris when he drove off the road and hit an embankment on the east side of the roadway. Both occupants refused treatment by the Coudersport Fire and EMS and were transported to the Cole Memorial Hospital for medical evaluation. The car sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

The driver of a 2018 Ford Ecosport was charged with speeding following a crash on Eleven Mile Road, Sharton Township June 15. Police said the driver was traveling west when a deer entered the roadway from the north side. The vehicle sustained minor damage and the driver was wearing his seatbelt and not injured.

Terroristic threats

Police are investigating an incident of terroristic threats against a 26-year-old Westfield woman that happened May 21. According to police, the suspect sent text messages to her, threatening to kill her.

Bad Checks

Police are investigating a report of someone using a bad check in the amount of $110, making it out to the victim March 13. The check could not be cashed due to insufficient funds.

DUI-alcohol

Kendall Perry, 28, of Canton, was arrested following a traffic stop of a 2015 Audi Q3 on East Maple Street and Cartee Street intersection May 24. Perry resisted arrest while being taken into custody. He was charged in district court.

Brian Ruane, 43, of Coudersport, was charged with DUI following a traffic stop of his 1991 Ford F-150XLT on East Maple Street, Coudersport June 1.

Assault

Donald G. Rees, Jr., 48, of Coudersport, was arrested for assault following a domestic incident in the borough June 5 against a 47-year-old female. Police said during the dispute, Rees hit the victim in the face with his hand an unknown number of times. He was charged in district court and remanded to Potter County Jail in lieu of bail. The victim was transported to UPMC Cole for treatment of her injuries. The case remains under investigation.

Drug possession

James Rhinehart, 30, of Coudersport, was arrested and charged following an investigation by police May 10. According to police, Rhinehard was discovered to be in possession a small amount of marijuana and related paraphernalia. Charges were filed in district court.

Criminal mischief

Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief after the victim, a 63-year-old Coudersport man, contacted police about someone ripping open his medicine package. It was a manilla envelope that was delivered to the man at 104 Oak Lane, Homer Township. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-274-8690.

Scattering rubbish

Police are investigating a case of scattering rubbish on 70 Bryant Hollow Road, Hebron Township between June 1 and June 14, when someone discarded a Zenith television set and a dehumidifier. The victim, a 59-year-old Coudersport woman, saw the items and reported the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-274-8690.
