Nicholas Tubbs, 23, of Mills, faces multiple charges following a traffic stop on Pushersiding Road, Ulysses Township May 19. Police said Tubbs was traveling in a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta in the area of Kibbeville Road, Ulysses Township when police attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Tubbs fled from police at a high rate of speed, police said. He was observed throwing a glass Mason jar containing approximately 35 grams of marijuana from the vehicle. After about six miles, and unable to elude troopers, Tubbs pulled his vehicle to the side of the road and stopped. Police observed drugs in the vehicle and a search resulted in seizure of approximately 27 grams of marijuana, additional drugs and drug paraphernalia. Tubbs was charged with possession of a controlled substance, flight to avoid apprehension, possession of and delivery of drug paraphernalia, recklessly endangering another person, tampering or fabricating physical evidence, scattering rubbish, reckless driving, careless driving, speeding, and other summary violations He was arrested and committed to Potter County Jail in lieu of $50,000 straight bond.
State police are investigating a burglary at 692 Plan Road, Sharon Township May 9. Police said between $3,000 and $5,000 were taken from the victim’s home.
State police are investigating a case of criminal mischief at South Woods Road, Sylvania Township May 17. Police said someone damaged the victim’s mailbox by striking it with an object, causing damage valued at $75. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-274-8690.
