Indecent exposure

Police are investigating a report of two people seen having sex in a vehicle on Wiles Road, Genesee Township April 30. Police said the 39-year-old female victim of Genesee reported seeing a Chevrolet Blazer parked in the roadway and when she checked on the vehicle, she saw them in the act. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-274-8690.


Timothy Scott Burke, South Carolina, was charged with the theft of gasoline from Reed’s Market, Genesee Township, following a traffic stop of his 2006 Honda Civic on Route 449 April 30. According to police, Burke took $22.88 worth of fuel from the store and drove off without paying. Burke’s driver’s license and registration were expired, and he had no insurance. He was remanded to Potter County Jail after pleading guilty to all charges.

Police are investigating the theft of a 2018 372 Husqvarna chainsaw from the back of a pick-up truck May 6.

Police are investigating a theft by deception/identity theft in Stewardson Township May 6. Police said someone opened a bank account using the 47-year-old male victim’s identification.

Police are investigating a possible case of theft by extortion that occurred on Main Street, Genesee Township April 29. Police said the 31-year-old male victim was contacted by a female on Facebook who asked to do a Facebook video chat. During the chat, the female scammed the victim, police said.


Daniel T. Vidonish Jr., 53, of Port Allegany, escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash after a deer jumped into the roadway in front of him as he was traveling west on Route 6, Ulysses. Police said Vidonish swerved to avoid hitting the deer and bounced his 2018 Chevrolet Colorado off the guide rail twice before coming to rest touching the guide rail. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

Ronald Fidler, 54, of Pine Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants after he crashed his vehicle on Route 44, Summit Township Feb. 22.

Clifton J. Diem, 39, of Leola suffered suspected serious injury in a two-vehicle crash on Nelson Run Road, Summit Township May 3. Police said Diem was traveling south on a 2013 Husqvarna TXC511 motorcycle when he slid on gravel and hit a 2007 Suzuki Acerbis motorcycle operated by Mathew C. Boley, 40, of New Holland. Boley, who was wearing a helmet, was not injured, but Diem suffered a broken leg and was flown to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, via medical helicopter. Diem was not wearing a helmet.


Two people were charged with assault following a fight at 204 School Street, Harrison Township May 10. Police said they determined that both Dakota Clark, 25, of Harrison Valley, and Keith Butler, 33, of Galeton, began fighting and both were charged in district court with simple assault and harassment.

Two people face charges following a domestic incident on Pleasant Street, Ulysses April 27. Police said a 38-year-old female was charged with one count each of simple assault and harassment and a 49-year-old male, both of Ulysses, was charged with two counts of harassment following an assault against a 20-year-old female victim, also of Ulysses.


Ashley Connolly, 29, of Ulysses, was charged with harassment following a domestic incident at the residence in Ulysses May 7. Police said Connolly had a physical altercation with an 11-year-old male victim.

Found firearm

Police are looking for the owner of a rifle that was found March 14 under some large shrubs along Emporium Specialties Company March 14. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-274-8690.
