Christopher O’Connor, 26, of Smethport, and Jeffrey M. Swetzer, 33, of Rew, escaped injury in a two-vehicle crash on Route 46, Otto Township May 14. Police said O’Connor was traveling south in a 2002 Ford Mustang when he attempted to pass Switzer, who was operating a 2009 Chevy Silverado pick-up truck. When the Mustang moved in front of the truck, it made contact with the driver’s side, causing O’Connor to lose control of the car and drive into a ditch, then through a front lawn, hitting multiple shrubs and coming to rest after hitting a tree. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts. The Mustang had to be towed from the scene.
An ATV rider was transported to UPMC Hamot with a suspected serious injury following a one-vehicle crash on Mudlick Road, Hamilton Township May 14. Police said the 14-year-old male from Pittsburgh lost control of the vehicle and fell off, injuring his right leg. He was located about 45 minutes after the accident when he drove off on the vehicle and didn’t return home. He was located in a field off Bliss Hill Road, and flown via medical helicopter to UPMC Hamot, where he was later reported to be in stable condition following treatment for his injuries. He was wearing a helmet.
Police are investigating an incident during which several mailboxes along Highland Road, Wetmore Township, were damaged with softball sized pieces of limestone rock May 13. The limestone was believed to be taken from an area and documented. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Lewis Run at 814-368-9230.
A 31-year-old female was arrested following a domestic disturbance with a 32-year-old male, also of Eldred, at 16 Bennett Street, Eldred May 14.
A 16-year-old male of Duke Center was arrested for harassment with physical contact following a domestic incident at 54 Sweitzer Drive, Otto Township May 9. Police said the teenager struck both a 38-year-old female and a 41-year-old male, both of Duke Center, during the incident.
A 20-year-old male from Bradford was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia following an incident on Woodpile Road, May 12. According to police, drugs and drug paraphernalia found at the location were determined to belong to the un-named person.
A 22-year-old man from Kane was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Police stopped the un-named person who was driving a 2004 Jeep Cherokee on Route 219, Lafayette Township May 12 for a vehicle code violation. Charges are pending in district court.
A 20-year-old male of Rew, and a 17-year-old male of Smethport were arrested for possession of a a controlled substance after they were dispatched to a welfare check on a vehicle on King Street, Smethport, May 14. The driver was also arrested for DUI.
Jacob Kreczmer, 20, of Munhall, faces charges of driving under the influence, under age drinking and related summary violation following a traffic stop on North Main Street, Port Allegany May 3. Police said he was driving a 2009 Lexus when he was stopped for a traffic violation.
A 37-year-old male of Emporium was arrested for suspicion of DUI following a traffic stop on South Marvin Street, Smethport, May 17. Police said there was a meth pipe in plain view inside the vehicle.
A driver was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Biddle Street, Kane, May 17. Police said a controlled substance was in plain view inside the vehicle.
A 16-year-old Port Allegany female was cited with underage drinking following a traffic stop while driving a 1996 Buick Le Sabre for a traffic violation on Chestnut Street, Port Allegany, May 4.
Andrew Kroah, 22, of Bradford, was cited with public drunkenness after police were dispatched for a report of an unresponsive man at 1947 Two Mile Road, Annin Township, May 2.
Police are investigating a report of trespassing at a property on Route 46, Keating Township May 12. Police said two known actors entered the posted property without consent from the property owner, a 66-year-old male from Smethport.
Theft by deception/identity theft
Police are investigating a theft by deception/identity theft on King Street, Eldred May 4. Police said the 46-year-old female victim’s social security number had been obtained and used to file a tax return.
Police are investigating the theft of a silver Chromebook laptop computer and a 16 inch tablet from a property on Route 46, Keating Township between March 1 and March 15.

Police are investigating a report of an alleged sexual assault on Main Street, Otto Township April 4.
