A 57-year-old man was charged on Feb. 5 with eight sexually-based offenses, after a Potter County juvenile reported being molested by the man on more than one occasion, court documents indicate.

Documents state that John McCullough, of Westfield, undressed the juvenile and himself, then showed sexual affections towards the juvenile, both in a residence and in a vehicle.

The accuser was less than 14 years old at the time of the incidents, court documents indicate.

According to court documents, McCullogh advised police in January that he wanted to turn himself in.

However, when police contacted him to schedule the interview he reportedly acted like he had no idea about what the police were talking and refused to be interviewed.

According to court documents, McCullough was charged with felony counts of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a minor, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault with a minor and corruption of minors.McCullouogh was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of indecent assault of a minor, court documents state.

Documents further state that McCullough was arraigned on Feb. 5, before Magisterial District Judge Christopher Kalacinski. MDJ Kalacinski set bail at $200,000.

McCullogh was committed to Potter County Correctional Facility and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 18, court documents state.
