All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 from Coudersport, Austin and Northern Potter are invited to participate in the local level competition for the 2020 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The local competition will be held on Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Coudersport High School with doors opening at 12:30 p.m. The cost is free, with the top three shooters in each age category, both boys and girls, receiving awards. Participants will also be recognized for their effort.

The Knights of Columbus free throw championship is sponsored annually with the support of the Coudersport boys and girls basketball programs, with winners progressing through local, district, and state competitions. International champions are announced by the K of C international headquarters based on scores from the state-level competitions. All boys and girls 9 to 14 years old are eligible to participate and will compete in their respective age divisions. Last year more than 120,000 sharpshooters participated in over 3,600 local competitions.

All contestants on the local level are recognized for their participation in the event. Entry forms may be picked up at the Coudersport High School main office or can be filled out at the competition. Parental permission with signature is required to participate.
