Following a four-day jury trial at the McKean County courthouse, Larry Shroyer was convicted on felony counts of delivery of heroin, conspiracy to deliver heroin, delivery of a designer drug, conspiracy delivery designer drug and flight to avoid apprehension; misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and recklessly endangering another person.
The jury was unable to agree on a verdict on an additional count of involuntary manslaughter, a misdemeanor.
A hung jury means the district attorney’s office will be able to decide if that charge will be re-tried.
The case brings to conclusion an investigation into an overdose death that occurred in the City of Bradford in November 2015, that saw three defendants charged with various crimes relating to the overdose death.
Stephanie Vettenburg Shaffer, McKean County district attorney, prosecuted the case on behalf of the Commonwealth. Chief Christopher Lucco of the Bradford City Police Department filed charges. Sentencing of the defendant will occur Dec. 5.
