Police investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in the library lot at 11 a.m.

Police took part in a controlled substance investigation at 11:30 a.m.

Police responded to a disturbance at the Port Allegany Ambulance Hall at 4:45 p.m.

Police conducted a traffic stop on West Mill Street at 9:47 p.m. and issued a citation.

Police were called to Main Street and Maple Avenue at 11:48 p.m. for an assault with injury.

July 14

Police took a statement on the assault case at 9 a.m. and did more follow-up at 10:10 a.m.

Police assisted on an ambulance call to East Mill Street at 10:48 a.m. for a report of an infant with seizures.

Police conducted a follow-up to the assault case at 11:30 a.m., 2:28 and 2:33 p.m.

At 3:20 p.m., police made a video request for an ongoing investigation at Sheetz.

Police conducted a traffic stop at 6:21 p.m. and issued a warning. That was followed by a traffic stop at 6:51 p.m., again with a warning issued.

A third traffic stop was performed at 9:43 p.m. and a citation issued for an expired registration.Police conducted a traffic stop at 10 p.m. and issued a citation for driving without lights.

July 15

Police conducted a traffic stop at 12:06 a.m. and issued a warning for defective equipment.

At 2:15 a.m., police received a report of an open door on Arnold Avenue. The area was searched and the door secured.

Police attended a preliminary hearing on an open case at 9 a.m. The defendant was bound over for trial.

A report was made at 11:46 a.m. of harassment via a telephone to the ambulance building.

Police performed a follow-up interview at 1 p.m.

Police assisted the ambulance when called to Mick’s Diner at 1:25 p.m. for a person having difficulty breathing.

At 1:45 p.m., police received a report of counterfeit money passed at the bank.

Police followed up a harassment investigation at 2:40 and 2:44 p.m.

At 4:50 p.m., police received a report of harassment via texting. The individual was blocked on the phone.

Port Allegany police assisted Smethport police with a mental health call at 5:38 p.m.

State police asked borough police to locate an individual at 7:26 p.m. The individual was located and turned over to state police.

July 16

Police received a report of harassment and information related to an ongoing investigation at 7:50 a.m.

Police conducted follow-up work at 10 a.m.

Police assisted a disabled vehicle at 12:45 p.m.

At 1:30 p.m., police received a complaint of non-running property.

Police conducted a follow-up to a search warrant at 2:47 p.m.

Police received a telephone call about an open investigation at 3:34 p.m.

Police asked Citizens & Northern for a video relating to Saturday’s assault.

Police received a report of an erratic driver at 7:04 p.m., but were unable to locate the vehicle.

July 17

At 1:45 a.m., police assisted the ambulance with a call.

Police received information about additional harassment at 7:33 a.m.

At 10:45 a.m., police did follow-up on the video request of the assault.

Police conducted a follow-up to the harassment case from July 15; charges will be filed.

At 4:10 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident at Benton Avenue and North Main Street.

July 18

At 7 a.m., a driver asked permission to leave his vehicle parked by a bridge.

Police conducted another follow-up to the assault from July 13.

At 12:45 p.m., police responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident.

A stray dog was reported on North Pine Street at 2:48 p.m.; the SPCA was contacted.

Police assisted another agency with an interview at 4:10 p.m.

Port police assisted Smethport police on a call at 5:17 p.m. and again at 6:15 p.m.

Police conducted a traffic stop on North Main Street at 10:21 p.m. and issued a warning.

Police were contacted about achild custody issue at 11:33 p.m.
