The Break The Chains Festival is gearing up for its third annual event to be held Aug. 30 and 31 on the Town Square. The festival will be a two-day event this year filled with music, motivational speakers, entertainment for children, food vendors, craft and product vendors, basket raffle and more. Two nationally-recognized music artists, “Adelaide” and “Red Letter Hymnal” as well as many local favorites including “Crown” and “Grand Day” will perform. Entertainment will be held from 4-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30 with a teen dance party from 9-10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, will begin with a 5K Race to Freedom. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race kicks off at 9. Entertainment on the main stage will be from 11 am.-9:30 p.m. with a candlelight prayer vigil.
