PORT ALLEGANY — The money that the Port Allegany School District received from the safe school funding is going to pay for the addition of security cameras in the elementary school, the board voted during its business session, Jan. 13.

The project will be completed by InShore Technologies, Inc., the same company that installed the high school’s cameras.

Otis Elevator will repair the wheelchair lift in the high school lobby. Christian Sevinsky, a high school math teacher and Olivia Wolf, a life skills teacher, are now tenured.

Schneider Electric, which gave a presentation at the previous board meeting, will be drawing up plans for a potential energy project. Board members also adopted the PSBA board principles.

The next scheduled Committee-of-the-Whole Meeting will take place on Feb. 3.
