Criminal mischief

Police were dispatched for a report of criminal mischief at the Hamlin Township building in Hazelhurst at 5:31 a.m. on May 7. According to a police report, between 3 p.m. May 6 and 5 a.m. May 7, an unknown person broke the front driver’s side window to a John Deere 310SL backhoe. The actor then fled. The investigation is ongoing, anyone with information should contact police.

Theft

Police investigated a report of theft that occurred on Route 6 in Keating Township between 5 and 6:30 p.m. on May 10, according to a police report. The victim reported a small amount of money was taken. The investigation is ongoing.

DUI/Crash

A crash occurred at 11:27 p.m. on May 9 on Route 59/Klondike Road in Corydon Township. According to a police report, Chad Parslow, 29, of Bradford, was traveling west on State Route 59 when he lost control of his vehicle, a 2019 CAN-AM ATV, traveled off the roadway and into a ditch. Parslow and his passenger were uninjured. Upon further investigation, it was determined Parslow was DUI. He was arrested and brought to BRMC where he then refused a legal blood draw. Charges will be filed through MDJ Richard W. Luther.
