Stacey R. Peterson, 40, of Little Valley, N.Y., was seriously injured in a two vehicle crash Sunday, Sept. 1 on Route 6, Keating Township at the intersection with Route 48.
Peterson was traveling north on Route 46 in a 2014 Dodge Avenger when she failed to stop at the stop sign, and hit a vehicle traveling east on Route 6, operated by Joseph J. Gibson, 73, of Lincoln University, who suffered a minor injury in the crash.
Peterson’s car sideswiped a utility pole and came to rest in a nearby yard.
A 13-year-old passenger in the Gibson vehicle suffered a serious injury and was transported via medical helicopter to John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital, Buffalo, N.Y, by Bradford City ambulance, along with an 8-year-old passenger who was transported there via ambulance for treatment of a minor injury.
Peterson was transported via Bradford City ambulance to Bradford Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Peterson was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.
All occupants of both vehicles were wearing seat belts of proper child restraints.
Police were dispatched Aug. 30 for a report of an underage drinking parting in progress at a camp on Arrow Lane, Hamlin Township, McKean County. Troopers observed eight minors at the scene and all were under the influence of alcohol.
